Birth Services

Every woman deserves the very best care during her pregnacy, birth, and postpartum journey.  I am here for you! I will help guide you, answer your questions, and give you the very best evidence based information to help you make informed decisions about your care.  I will support you in whatever way you see fit.

• Midwifery Care:  I provide all aspects of prenatal, birth, and postpartum care including; blood work, vital signs, fundal height, fetal heart tones, baby's position, and the emotional and physical well being of the mother. I monitor mother and baby during labor, birth, and postpartum including all well woman care and well baby care for the first 6 weeks postpartum. I perform a newborn exam and run all standard tests for the newborn including; dried blood spot test, heart screen, filing the birth certificate and social security. Topics of education usually include baby wearing, cloth diapering, infant care, food prep, herbal baths, nutrition, emotional wellbeing, breastfeeding, childbirth, informed consent, rights of the childbearing woman, and typical birth protocols, birth plan prep, home prep for birth, hospital bag prep, herbs and homeopathy for the childbearing years, and many other questions and advice about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. The investment in Be Fruitful midwifery care is around $4,000. Birth pools are provided for waterbirth. This price is subject to change. Labwork, through Labcorp, is billable to insurance. I am happy to say that Be Fruitful is not to be a government run business and therefore is free from the insurance game. Do not expect insurance to cover your birth costs. I am happy to say that my fee is lower than most hospital birth co-pays/deductibles.

• Bereavement: ​This is very dear to my heart.  Being told that your child has died or will die, is heavy news.  It can feel like the world is crumbling.  But grief can look like many things.  I am here to listen, to share ideas on how to preserve the memory of your child, to help you with meals, to help you heal physically and emotionally. I am here for you. In whatever capacity you need. Remembrance packages are free, please reach out.

• NRP, HBB, CPR, CPM Midwife Assistant and backup Midwife: ​I work with Midwives in the area as an assistant and on-call backup Midwife.  In this role, I support the midwife and the mother during pregnancy, labor, birth, and immediate postpartum alongside the midwife or instead of the midwife if she is busy at another birth or taking a much needed vacation.

• Be Fruitful Birth House birth: Another option I have for my clients is to birth at my birth house. This is a good option for anyone who wants a home birth but does not want to birth in their own home for whatever reason! Come to my comfy birth house nestled in the orchard hills of Adams County.
